Evaluations provide clarity and unlock the future
I'm a clinical psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and adults. I am trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of concerns, from disruptive behavior, anxiety, depression, and deficits in attention, organization skills, executive function, and/or social skills. I also work directly with parents/caregivers to support them through the challenges of parenting and develop specific strategies to improve their child's behavior, functioning, and social-emotional well-being.
I provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to identify potential neurodivergence or neurodevelopmental diagnoses such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and/or Learning Disabilities. This will include diagnostic clarity as well as specific, personalized recommendations to support your child at home, school, and with friends. I also provide developmental testing for children under 7 years old to rule out autism or developmental delays and assist with gaining services.
I have received extensive training at top-ranked programs in world-class academic medical institutions. I received my PhD at UNC Chapel Hill (ranked #2 nationally in Clinical Psychology) concentrating on Children and Families and received training in adult psychopathology and treatment from Teachers College, Columbia University. I completed my APPIC clinical internship at Children's National Hospital in Washington DC (#5 nationally ranked children's hospital) and my postdoctoral fellowship in Autism Spectrum Disorders at the Child Study Center at NYU Langone Health (#3 ranked general hospital in nation). After becoming independently licensed, I was a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Langone Health, specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders with psychiatric complexity.
I have published my research in top-journals on early childhood disruptive behavior, behavioral parent training, parenting, and ADHD. Published works: https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=zJjenloAAAAJ&hl=en
